Carmela Coffee offers an optional SMS marketing program so you can receive crafted updates like promos, perks, and store news. These SMS Terms explain how the program works, how to opt out, and what responsibilities apply when messages are delivered through our third-party provider.

Program description

If you opt in, you may receive marketing text messages from Carmela Coffee, such as: promotions, limited-time offers, loyalty-related messages, event announcements, and store updates. Message frequency varies.

Transactional texts (like order or receipt updates) may be sent separately through our ordering/receipt systems and may be governed by different terms.

Program administrator and third-party provider (Toast)

Our SMS program is administered through Toast, our third-party platform provider. Toast helps deliver messages and maintains the systems used for opt-in/opt-out and message delivery. Toast may collect, store, and process personal information (including your phone number and consent status) on our behalf in order to operate the program. Please review Toast’s applicable terms and privacy practices in addition to these SMS Terms.

Carmela Coffee controls the message content, timing, and audience selection for campaigns, but delivery and certain compliance mechanics (like opt-in flow and system logs) are handled through Toast’s platform.

 

Consent to receive messages

By opting in, you authorize Carmela Coffee to send marketing text messages to the phone number you provided, including messages sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Toast’s SMS program requires explicit opt-in before marketing messages can be sent.

 

Cost and carriers

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

 

Opt-out and help (how to stop messages)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you opt out, you should no longer receive marketing texts (except a final confirmation of your opt-out).

Accuracy of your phone number

You agree to provide an accurate mobile number and to only opt in with a number you own or are authorized to use. If your number changes, you’re responsible for updating your information and/or opting out of the old number.

 

Service availability and delivery limitations

Text messaging may not be available on all carriers, devices, or in all areas. Delivery may be affected by network availability, device settings, third-party platform outages, or carrier filtering. Carmela Coffee is not liable for delays, failed delivery, or message formatting issues outside of our reasonable control.

 

Privacy

Information collected and processed for this SMS program is handled according to:

• Carmela Coffee’s Privacy Policy, and

• Toast’s privacy and platform policies, because Toast administers the SMS delivery systems and stores consent records.

 

Changes to the program or these terms

We may update these SMS Terms or change the program from time to time (including message types, frequency, or the platform provider). Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued participation after changes means you accept the updated terms.
